Open Call, Happy Holidays, and Thank You!

Open Call, Happy Holidays, and Thank You!

On behalf of Reanna and Nur, thank you for an incredible pilot year! We would like to take this opportunity to thank our readers and contributors for joining us in sharing insightful thoughts, ideas, and experiences from cities and communities around the world.

When we started Multiple Cities at the beginning of the year, we simply wanted to provide our brilliant friends (new and old!) a platform to come together and exchange knowledge and experiences. But to date, we’re proud to say that we've reached a global audience and our contributors have similarly shared stories from all around the world. In true planner fashion, we've put together a map to showcase our global stories, click here to explore our global reach!

Although 2018 has been full of advancements, there is still much more that needs to be done for our cities to be truly equitable and inclusive places to live, work, and create in. Join us as we enter our second year here at Multiple Cities!

Announcing an open call for ideas for the fourth issue on Diversity.

In celebration of Black History Month in February 2019, Multiple Cities will be releasing an issue on Diversity.

We are seeking ideas for articles, visual art, maps, videos, and sounds that explore the everyday diversity in public spaces, transit, workplaces, and housing. We encourage you to think about the fundamental challenges and issues faced by minority groups as they continue to live and work in urban, rural, and sub/ex-urban communities.

Send us your early ideas here by Dec 15, 2018 and we’ll be in touch to work through details in the following weeks.

Please also feel free to reach out directly to us to bounce off your ideas or make introductions to friends from around the world.

Thank you again for all your support thus far and remember to follow us on Instagram,Facebook, and Twitter for updates. Keep writing to us with more suggestions and friend references from around the world - we love when you keep in touch

Best wishes and happy holidays,
Reanna + Nur

P/S This month we are also looking for additional hands to provide graphic design support. If you'd like to contribute your time by being an editor, please write to us and send us a work sample!
